Most of my online purchases are made because of great reviews and there are several purchases that did not come true because of bad reviews. Needless to say, I rarely buy things on pre-order. This gorgeous Elizabeth British Tweed Blazer by Boden was an exception. It was pricey, it was a no-review risk, and it was worth it!
I love blazers. I have them in multiple colors and fabrics. Some belong to pant suits, others were introduced to my closet on their own.
Blazers are staples. They really pull an entire outfit together and they make outfit creation easy. My go-to uniform is a top, scarf, pants and a blazer. Mix up the colors, mix up the kind of pants (jeans, slacks, stretchy metro pants), dress them up with heels or down with boots – blazers do it all!
Nothing beats a good wool blazer, though. This particular Boden blazer is made by Abraham Moon & Sons in Leeds, UK. Established in 1837, they are one of the last remaining vertical woolen mills in Great Britain.
Boden is known for their addiction to prints and each blazer comes with a unique print on the inside as well as contrast wool under the collar and contrast trim on the inside of the blazer.
The blazer currently comes in 8 colors/wools. My first choice was camel- a color that goes with nearly everything, including dark Fall and Winter slacks. Which one will I select next?
